It's official. High-color, high-resolution bootscreen support has been successfully implemented for BootSkin. Expect to see a build in the next week or so!

It's more difficult to implement than it first appeared and is now unlikely to arrive in the near future.

Oh, it was implemented and successfully. But, there's something we've not been able to account for with load order or drivers or just general little subtle differences at a low level early in boot between cards. We'll probably not release anything based on the VESA bit.

Plus Microsoft recruited our lead developer on it and so the voodoo that was involved in that is now lost.
